Who Was Howard William Keresey ?

With regards to James Churchward, that is an interesting question.

On the  first page of the 1927 hand-drawn book, "Books of The Golden Age," it reads:

Presentation
This manuscript was written and illustrated for my nephew and adopted son:
Howard William Keresey
who has been my companion and chum, since he was a babe creeping across the room sidewise like a crab going to Ireland 22 years ago. Written and given to him as a mark of appreciation of his consistent goodness through all these years. A boy with little faults but without a vice.
With love and affection I present this to him.

JChurchward
12th July 1927

Howard was the son of Harriet Haier, the daughter of Caroline Haier. Harriet's sisters were Pauline, Minnie, and Louise.
In 1906, Pauline purchased a multi-family home in Mount Vernon.
Census documents indicate that James Churchward also resided at the same address from 1907 to 1916.

In 1916, Louise H. Churchward purchased seven-plus acres on Lake Wononskopomuc in Lakeville, Connecticut.
As the result of a patent infringement settlement, James collected a great deal of cash.

The 1920 census indicates that Harriet and her son Howard were living in Lakeville with Louise and James Churchward.

In 1922, Louise H. Churchward purchased an additional property in Mount Vernon where they continued to live.

Notice that on James' tombstone (Kensico, Valhalla, NY), in addition to wife, Louise, there was also place for Louise's mother Caroline as well as sister Harriet (Howard's mother.)

These are the things that I learned from my research. Late last year, I availed myself of the opportunity to purchase some of Mr. Keresey's personal effects that included correspondence and photographs. I have learned a great deal more about him and my great-grandfather that I plan to pass along.

Have a great day.

Another James Churchward Painting Appears...

Another miniature painting by James Churchward has been discovered. Dated 1904 and entitled, "Lake Katahdin Lake - Aroostook, Co. Maine."

As the previous painting, it is small, measuring only 4 1/2 by 2 3/8 inches inside a 6 1/2 by 4 5/8 inch frame.

The caption reads:

Lake Katahdin Lake - Aroostock, Co. Maine.
One of the prettiest and best little trout lakes in Maine - also the best of hunting in the fall - Moose, Dear, Bear Foxes, Lynx, Panthers, and small game.

Dec. 1904

Many of James' books are illustrated by his hand. This painting is another example of his handiwork and background that permitted him to understand and communicate what he had learned about the ancient civilization that he called Mu.

A quick Google search provides another copyrighted painting from almost the same vantage point.

More Talk of Sunken Continents in the Indian Ocean

In previous posts, sunken land masses have mentioned. Of course, most of them have been 100's of million years old, but now evidence of a comparable youngster has been found in the India Ocean - it is only estimated to be 10million years old.
The news is contained in "The long-lost continent hidden underneath the Indian Ocean" and the prehistoric continent is named "Mauritia."

Just to tally up some of the lost continents mentioned in this blog:
Off the Coast of Australia
Dwarka
Doggerland

Evidence of Ancient Humans in Mediterranean Sea

In November 2012, an article entitled, "Ancient Mariners: Did Neanderthals Sail to Mediterranean?" was published that hints at hominid occupation dating back to 170,000 years ago.

From the article:
"If the ancient finds in the Mediterranean can be verified, they will show that Homo erectus or Neanderthals or both had the skills and cognitive ability to build boats and navigate them," Simmons said.

The dating of the tools found indicate (to the author) that the habitations found are earlier than modern humans, obviously (to the author) the folks that lived here were Homo Erectus or Neaderthal.

On the other hand, why can't this be evidence of modern humans?

Just because we have yet to discover the evidence of 'modern human type' from that age doesn't mean that eventually something may be uncovered.

On the other hand, some scientists are speculating that the people of today are a mixture of Neanderthals, Homo Erectus, and Denisovans. Maybe there will be more discoveries that widen our family tree even bigger.

Have a great day.
